I have too much for the allowable character allowance, so I'll just bullet it out: *The moving company didn't attempt to meet the timeline requested, the dispatcher's only response to my arrival inquiries with "legally we have 21 days to deliver your furniture *Kelly from Smart Choice promised to be available throughout the process but stopped responding to email/calls/text after my initial payment (Smart Choice takes your initial payment, then you pay the moving companies on each side the remainder in cash) *Every box was crushed with significant damage to both my dresser and bookshelf *As I sit here today, Unique Moving Company (the actual company that Smart Choice sub-contracted to in my case) still hasn't found my bed (yes my bed!, everything except for the headboard) and feet to my dresser that they lost *I informed both parties that I needed a 2-3 day notice before delivery so that I can pick up a parking pass from city hall that would allow the truck to park directly in front of my house(and they confirmed that I would have the notice), well the only notification that I received was when the driver was on his way, which resulted in an additional $150 for having to walk over 75 feet *The customer service lady at Unique Moving Company was just not remotely interested in being helpful throughout the process Lastly, I see where Smart Choice has tried to negatively rebut various reviews but this isn't my first long distance move and I have all of the email conversations and paperwork to support my claims.

The real deal!

These guys are the real deal. Professional, hard-working, and efficient! I basically had to beg them to take a break for lunch. Came prepared, packed like champs, and moved 42 years of belongings out of my mom’s house without blinking an eye. Will be using Smart choice van lines for any future moving needs without hesitation!

High quality indeed

One thing to say about Smart choice van lines, they customize their service for individual clients. For my last relocation, I specifically mentioned them that my books are my life and I need special care for them. You know what they did. They managed to arrange special wrapping for books and special shelving in the van. Other things were unharmed. I liked their customizing and I think they offer it to every client. Keep up the good work guys.

Good value of money

I was looking for a good and reliable moving company which can also suit my budget. I got few quotes but Smart choice van lines appeared to be great value for money. I appointed them for the full packing and moving service and they arrived at the agreed time on the scheduled day. They informed me before their arrival so we can prepare ourselves. Moving crews from Smart choice van lines were calm, well-organized and very expert. They dismantled the large items and the packing was excellent. The foreman and his crew worked very hard until the job was completed. I will definitely use them again in future.

Move to Richmond

My wife and I were moving from FL to VA, and I chose Smart choice van lines. Their quotes were a bit different but just felt right! So, we went with them!!! Smart choice van lines was on time, speedy, courteous, and professional. They did a great job. Many many thanks!!!

Great team

Great value, great service, we appreciated the call the next day to make sure everything was really okay. We'll be working with Smart choice van lines again for our next move. For sure! Why save $50 bucks and worry when you can spend it and relax and maybe even look forward to moving. Because they made it that damned easy, man! Use them then you will agree too!

Lucky to have them

First time ever I am happy with a move! It's hard to find great moving assistance, but I would like to thank Walter and his team - from the minute they arrived they really put me at ease and were very reassuring. They were very helpful and polite. All the staffs were super professional. On time, friendly and were really very diligent all through the move. Packing and moving done quickly and efficiently. It was a very long day for us, as we moved from Miami, FL to Los Angeles, CA. I was really impressed by the service and would recommend Smart choice van lines to anyone.

Bait

Smart Choice comes in with a nice low price but then they add on later. The coordinator was very nice and helpful but that changed quickly. First they tried to charge me $200 for extra boxes and threatened to leave them behind if I didn't pay. Then they claimed that the driver went to Alabama and I would need to pay $600 to get them to come to Florida! It felt like they hijacked my belongings for ransom. Once the items were finally delivered, there were a number of damages. When I submitted my claim, I received an email saying, "denied, denied, denied." When I asked to speak with the Claims Department, I just kept getting the same person. There is NO Claims Department and they never intended to reimburse me for the damages...Be very careful with the company you select to move your belongings. This company also goes by the name of Moving America Xpress.

Liars and thieves

This company lies to you and then passes you on to someone else who will lie to you again and again. They quoted us 1995.00 guaranteed just to almost double the price while holding our stuff hostage. The owner lies and is extremely rude! He hung up on me and wouldn't take my call. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! You will end up paying more just to get your stuff! They should be shut down and never allowed to treat anyone like they treated us!! YOU WILL BE SORRY if you use them! YOU CANNOT TRUST A WORD THEY SAY! VERY STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE!!!
